Die Van Look Stiftung verleiht zum fünften Mal in Erinnerung an den Freiburger Künstler Hans-Günther van Look (1939-2007) den Van Look Preis für Bildende Kunst.
Bisherige Preisträger*innen waren Andreas von Ow, Zora Kreuzer, Uta Pütz und Vika Prokopaviciute.
Finanziert wird der Preis nicht nur durch Spenden, sondern vor allem durch die Vermietung von Gemälden aus dem Nachlass des Künstlers. Dank dieses einzigartigen Konzepts werden Mieter zu Förderern zeitgenössischer Kunst

In memory of the artist Hans-Günther van Look (1939-2007), the Van Look Foundation awards the Van Look Prize for Visual Arts for the fifth time.
Previous winners were Andreas von Ow, Zora Kreuzer, Uta Pütz and Vika Prokopaviciute.
The prize is not only financed by donations but by renting out paintings from the artist’s estate. Thanks to this unique concept, renters become patrons of contemporary art.
