Hanna Stiegler erforscht in ihrer Ausstellung Stützen als soziale Praxis: Welche Systeme tragen uns im Alltag, in Sorgebeziehungen, in kollektiven Netzwerken oder in der prekären Realität künstlerischer Arbeit?

Stieglers Untersuchung geht von ihrem langjährigen Interesse an Strukturen aus, die Halt geben: Geländer, Prothesen, architektonische Stützen wie Säulen oder Baugerüste, aber auch modische Elemente wie Krinolinen oder Absätze. Oft unscheinbar oder nebensächlich, bilden diese Objekte doch wesentliche Bausteine unseres Alltags und prägen unsere Wahrnehmung.

Stiegler's research stems from her long-standing interest in structures that provide support: railings, prostheses, architectural supports such as columns or scaffolding, but also fashionable elements such as crinolines or heels.
